Oil dipstick is there

Yesterday I stopped by the dealer to again check out the third row. While there I remembered someone said there was no dipstick to check oil, only iDrive. Opened the hood and right there next to the oil fill is the dipstick.This was on a 4.8.

Haven't found it on the 3.0

18 degrees so only took a cursory look. Unless it's hidden I don't see it.
