what's that large intake thing on top of the engine...i've always wondered about it in the new X5s...

there're two in the 4.8 right?

whoa...your PDC looks completely different than mine....I don't have squares...I have "pieces" (irregularlly shaped) that are kind of rounded....do you have the backup camera?

i don't think he has nav. the pdc screen is the middle of the dash already... not to the side.

and post pics of your pdc :D

Posting like...Air filter.

No nav, no cam.."squares"?? These seqments do have some rounded corners..hope this helps.

Great close-up pics of the engine bay! There seems to be a lot of structural reinforcement in there.

here you go. 1st image is pdc display w/ nav. Second image is rear camera w/ collision...as you can see the camera is wothless at night.

would be nice if you could see both displays at same time.

huh...that's very interesting. without nav, the pdc functions slightly differently...

why does BMW spend time and money doing this? :rolleyes:

so is the pdc with nav slightly more sensitive to objects considering the graphics are not on indicated blocks? that is, are they variable? and conform to the shape of the object?
