Lease on 3.0si

I'm not sure if there are any finance guys out there that may be able to weigh in on this. I'm trying to validate the dealers lease payment quote using bloomberg and I'm just not getting it. Here's the quote from the dealer:

Price of vehicle $56,640
Residual value $33,984 (60%)
Money Factor 0.00225
36 month lease, 12k per year
Due at signing $3,595
Payment $883
State tax 7%

Can anyone out there help me validate this?

That's an interesting point. What do you think these cars will be worth in 3 years. I'll be taking delivery of my X5 next month and I'm waffling back and forth between leasing and buying and my decision is going to be based on what I think the value of the car will be in 3 years with about 45-50 thousand miles. My car has a sticker of approx. $71,000. Not sure which way to go.

I am in the same boat. I was on the BMW site the other day looking at their lease figures, went back today and they were gone!

IMO, first year model, lease it.
