I don't get it, so the E70 has bugs?
 

i heard some ppl were saying that not get the 2007 e70 cuz its new and has lots of bugs? what are they? So even if you buy or lease the e70 and the car starts to act weird, wouldnt the warranty cover everything? so what is there to worry about? plz input. thnx :)

I can't comment on whether there are bugs or not, but do you have the time to make trips to the dealer (and down time) if there are?

yeah i guess, but man the e70 is hard to resist :D

its a common thing with ANY new car that comes off the lot, just like any new software, or product, its a new thing, people use it, find flaws, and then the company perfects and gets rid of those flaws..

Lot of bugs is just peoples guess based on E53 bugs when it came out (no scietific proof to back it up) :) BMW is now much stronger financially then it was when E53 came out so expect less bugs than E53 had back then. Warranty would cover everything other than normal wear and tear.

Warranty doesn't include the cost of the lawyers, motoring engineer, Queens Counsel opinion and my time to actually ENFORCE the warranty......... :SIGH:

what bugs? Nobody is talking about bugs...sometimes just stuff that could be better...

All cars have quirks.....it's a craps shoot.

If you like the E70, by all means go get it. If you're really concerned about long term issues with a first MY (AND THERE WILL BE SOME)...then do a lease.

The only "bug" I have experienced is the transmission issue discussed in several other threads, I hope this will be addressed in an update.

The other problems I am experiencing are not "bugs" but rather a lack of features, like the Nav system whick lacks a very basic function of searching for a POI by name...or the 1980's CD changer which is seperate from the main unit (in glove box) and unable to display track info on the screen (hello BMW its 2007!). These are not bugs....so what other "bugs are you refering too??
