Sunroof Issues

Ok, so the sunroof and myself had a big fight today. I had pressed the button in, "venting" the roof up. To close it, I pressed the button again, logically, and then the fabric cover started to close. I yelled "no" and then pulled back on the switch to stop it. It did. But the roof was still vented. So I pushed the switch all the way forward, thinking it would close the roof. It actually started to close, but RIGHT as it was closed, it instantly went open again. So the only way to close it fully was to jab the switch lightly about 7 times. Arrg! Anybody with panoramic roof can help? As usual, the manual made absolutley no sense. Thanks.

I just tried mine and same behaviour.

I think this is working properly;
push button in = open vent
to close vent- pull button toward front of car

the button can be pushed again when the shade is closing to stop it at a certain point

edit:
reading the manual confirms.
It says:

VENTILATION SETTING
Press the switch
The sunroof is raised and the sliding visor is opened slightly

It nevers mentions to push the button again to close.

Yes, but to close it, it makes sense to push it all the way forward, past the point of resistance. The problem is that once I do that, all it does it close then open again.

Sorry, can't help you, but have you made sure your manual sunroof crank handle under the rear floor is ready to go? If you have a problem with the control circuit, it might make sense to have the backup ready. Not that they expect problems or anything....

Sounds like the anti-trap feature is being activated for some reason. Maybe a minor adjustment required.

Naw. You just have to take your time closing it. Mine did the same thing today. I closed very nicely after i decided to take my time and do it right. It seems difficult because there are so many things it can do. So slow down watch what it does you'll get the idea.
