I guess BMW didn't think a lock was necessary since apparently no one has been able to find the glovebox anyway! :nanana:

I ordered my x5 in October... haven't gotten it yet. That's another story I'll post elsewhere.

1) Exterior Colors- would be nice if there were some lighter options. How about a nice bright RED?
2) Say what you mean and mean what you say and call me if there's a problem. I've had an order in since October (more on that elsewhere) ... still waiting for the damn shades, the tobbaco isn't available any more and the dealer hasn't even called me to tell me.... Maybe my expectations are high, but when a customer is willing to spend $70K+ for a vehichle, you'd think someone from BMW could pick up a phone and help manage those expectations.
3) Get rid of the start button. I can just see some xxxx xxx (your choice of adjectives) parking attendant in Manhattan twisting the key till something breaks. At least allow the car to start with either.
4) I'm surprised nobody brought this up yet.... Put the rear seat video in the headrests (or source from a compay that does)....
5) Put together a few more packages and stop nickle and diming me- If I buy the premium package, why is comfort access, HUD, and electronic liftgate extra? C'mon.... By the time we're done you have $20K of electronics that are obsolete in 3 years, and while you're at it, stop jerking us around with $500 for satelite radio when the actual reciever is close to $100 (I know Porsche, Audi and MB do the same thing- it's still BS).

Don't get me wrong, I still may end up with an X5 but at this point it's going to be an '08 or maybe even an '09...
I'm canceling my order for now....

The E53 looked great in red. I also wonder how the E70 would look in red.
