Did anybody changed the cyl. Exhaust type?
 

I have ordered 3.0d X5. It will come with the same exhaust as the 3.0si (rond Type) .

Did anybody put a 4.8 exhaust type (rectangular) on a 3.0si exhaust (rond) ?

too! If anybody can tell me how to order the part. I just want to change the tips , not the whole exhaust.

Not sure if there are aftermarket tips available yet lik the 4.8. I am also interested in buying tips that match the 4.8si. Anyone have a suggestion on where to find them?

If your just after the tips then you may find there are already compatible tips out there as most are a universal fit. All you need is the new tips to have the same diameter as the OEM tips/connections and not be to big to fit in the E70exhaust aperture, not sure if like the E53 there is a heat shield trim that fits in lieu of the 3.0is trims. If so you will need these.
