I agree too long but those are probably the closest to the OEM ones on the 4.8.
They stick out WAY to much bro! Keep them tucked in!
there going to be redone.believe me there driving me nuts on how far they stick out
I just ordered the Magnaflow tips (model 35171), after talking to the mechanic at the muffler shop. They are more oval than rectangular but appear to fit in the space well and look good.I will post pics when installed. Cost of tips is $70-80 each depending on online store; retail they are $ 139 each.

i have a question, will the E53 dual exhaust fit on teh new E70.im not worried about the pipe that goes towards the motor.i mean with the dual mufflers fit under the rear |
Do you have to weld the Magnaflow tips in place? On my 04 M3, the tips are replacable with a screwdriver.
Yes they will need to be welded on. The mechanic said he may have to modify the pipes so they don't stick out too far. I forgot to mention, his installation cost will be between $50- 75 , depending on how much he has to modify the pipes. Add this to the cost of the tips($160) for a total of $220-240.
