Another Hitch Question for the 07 X5....

I know it comes with a 4 pin connector but I know I need a 7 to 5 pin connector because I need to get reverse output because I have to disengage the brakes on the Trailer.

Has anyone tried a 5 pin connector and does reverse work on the BMW Hitch? (It did on my 01 X5..)
