E70 is still in Southampton
 

Just had an email from my dealer saying that my E70 is still at Southampton and they are now trying to give me a pick up date of 10th May!
Anyone else had this?

My dealer is telling me something similar, and cannot confirm a delivery date.

Is there a problem?
I saw in another thread the suggestion that some managers at Thorne had been sacked, but can't find the thread again and what would that have to do with Southampton not getting the vehicles out.

Southampton is the PDI processing facility for BMW. I think Walon is their contractor down there.
Here is the thread where Fastbuck was mentionning the firings...
They migth be trying to avoid early deliveries by holding them at the PDI centre...Who knows, hopefully U guys get your X5s soon!

My E70 arrived at the dealer unexpectedly today. Looks great!

My dealer did say that only from today were customers cars starting to be delivered.

Guys, what dealerships are you dealing with ? I with HR Owen in Chiswick(London). Just trying to get an idea were deliveries may of happened.

Nice looking car, mines the same! My one was to be at the dealers this Monday, but so far has`nt arived. The dealer is desparate to have me collect this Saturday, which is fine by me. I think their up for some sort of bonus from BMW for April registrations......the way its going though, its looking unlikely.
It`s a day by day situation. At least the Aero Kit will be on.
