Does my 4.8i have a fault or is this normal?
 

I have had the car for 3 days now and I have noticed at night that the brightness of the climate control screen is INTENSELY bright. I move the wheel on the light control panel and every other instrument light will dull down but it does not alter, even if i turn the brightness up full it is double the brightness of any of the other instruments with orange illumination. I have altered the brightness in i-drive but it only changes the i-drive screen, the climate screen is set in MAX++ brightness and there is no altering it.
Can someone please check to see if this is normal or does my car need checking for a fault. It is so bright when driving at night that i have to hold the steering with my arm tilted up to block the bright light.

Sounds like a fault to me.

Problem Solved.
 

Dealer re installed software and cabin illumination is all back to how it should be. Also my i-drive menu screen is new so i guess they have upgraded the software, the menus appear as soon as the button is pressed so i am happy with the speed of the system.
