Can't get rid of the Open Trunk warning.

My car is currently in the dealer as they changed the back lock and the can't seem to get rid of the open trunk warning. Thay now have opend a PUMA on the car and am awaiting furhter responses from BMW.

Anyone else having this problem or anyone who got it fixed recently that can share some info would be helpful.

Thanks

Latest update. All is well. they had to reboot the entire car and then the warning went away and soft close started working again.

I have this problem. It started for me when I left the keys in my golf bag and closed the trunk. I heard a thump as the car recognized the keys in the trunk and unlocked it. But since then, "TRUNK OPEN" appears every time the car starts moving.

Also, the trunk open function of the key fob doesn't seem to work.

I booked an appointment with the dealer, but it's still a week and 1/2 away. I'm going to be crazy by then listening to the warning tone everytime I move.

I was wondering what "Reboot the entrie car" meant and if I could do it?

when you close the trunk, you don't slam it. You just close it gently and the trunk closes itself. (ie pulls itself closed the rest of the way)

It is not something you can do unfortunately. The dealer has to do it. Sorry I know it drove me crazy until it was fixed...
