Where to find & replace angel eyes

I wanted to add to this post since I didn't find any instructions for the newbie on where to find the angel eyes light and how to swap it out.

In the pics you'll see that the light for the rings comes from the innermost headlight socket. The first pic is the cover that needs to be removed on the left light assembly. BTW, no tools here. Just a little jeweler's screwdriver to pry open the clip that the light actually plugs into.

Second pic is the right side with cover off. Next pics show the actual plug itself.

I upgraded mine with the GP Thunder II 8500K H8 Xenon Quartz Ion Light Bulbs 35W. I found them on an auction site and paid under $16 shipped.

Now I know that people will say that the incandescent bulbs will yellow over time, and I tend to agree. I just wanted to see how difficult this was going to be and I knew that these bulbs would NOT throw an error code. Very important.

Thanks to the OP for starting this great thread and I hope this helps anyone else looking to replace the E70 angel eyes. Good luck!
