e70 annoying rattle

I have a really annoying rattle coming from the rear of the vehicle. Sounds like a trim piece somewhere in the hatch area. Dealer changed the soft close mechanism, but it is still there. I removed the cargo cover and all contents to try to isolate the rattel and the gremlin is still persistent. Anyone have a similar problem? Any ideas?

do you have the 3rd row?

make sure the middle row is tilted back and not positioned forward

Denalio, I also don't have 3rd row. I am hearing a constant rattle from behind. I have not isolated the problem yet but it is annoying. Did you find out what was causing your rattle? I am planning on visiting the dealer...

Dealer said is was the soft close handle so they replaced that. However, the rattle is still there. I am pretty sure it is comming from the sliding cargo cover. There is a little bit of play in the fit on the brackets. Try removing the cargo cover and see if that works.

I had a rattle, it was coming from the middle row seat belt. The metal buckle natural position was against a piece of pastic when not being worn, I adjusted the height and the rattle went. Obviously I am sure there are lots of different sources for rattles, but it's worth checking!

I also had the rattle, the dealer did something with my back seat latch.. I dont have the third row.... You may want to tell your dealer to check it out...
