After deep thinking I've opted or Porsche Cayenne S..
Better engine, active anti-roll bars and air suspensions.

I am not sure they will bring that engine to the X5. I hope so.

i think that never will happen because if they do that there will only be a 50hp diff. in the engines in the 3.0 and 4.8 and thats just not reasonable for the difference in price..just see all the other manufacturers and their suvs like the new porsche cayenne the base one has 295hp and the cayenne s has 385hp thats 90 hp diff. and then take a look at the range rover sport and range rover sport supercharged its a 90 hp diff too....just like its right now in the 3.0si and 4.8i its like a 90hp diff so i think it will stay that way..
just my 2 cents

yes but the 5 series are cars and the x5 is a truck so the 50hp diff in the 5 series does make a difference and in the x5 those 50hp diff wouldnt really make a difference.

it doesn't even really make that big of a difference in the 5 series...0-60 is 5.6 sec for the 535i and 5.4 for the 550i in manual. If you get the steptronic, there's only a .1 difference between the 550i and the 535xi. Can't see the reason to get the 550i when a comparably equipped 535xi is about $8K less and a 535i is about $10K less.

well if the difference is so little in a car, just imagine what would the diff be in a truck...so if they put the tiwn turbo in the x5 3.0 almost no one would buy the 4.8 and thats not good for them.
