Bug protection

What kind of bug protection you guys use. I am not talking about the bug deflectors or a car bra but does anybody use some spray/liquid to protect the car on a long drive (which can also be applied to the bra). Some people around here spray on some PAM cooking oil on the hood but they are driving clunkers so I guess for them it doesn't really matter. I also found some stuff on internet but would like to here if first hand.

I use plenty of warm water when I get where I'm going. A bit of soapy water on a bug sponge takes everything off without much rubbing. Safe for the paint which is more than can be said for some of the oether stuff out there.

Banging my usual drum,
a full Zaino job lays down layers that really allow
for easy "lifting" of the suicide bugs, especially if you get to it quickly.

Lots of "Zaino" links on here via search...
imo, it or any thorough application of any of the "first class" paint
protector systems are your best defense against the bug problem.

I think he is refering to a sponge or a mitt with a little bit of netting on the back that you rub to remove the bugs while you wash the car.

:iagree:
I use Zaino and the bugs just wipe off. Zaino lasts longer than anything else I've tried and the X looks great all the time. I just hand wash every other weekend. BTW- it also helps w/ brake dust on the wheels.

I agree, I use Zaino on all the cars and it lasts for months, great stuff.

Correct. After a good wax job, I don't spray anything on my paint. Warm soapy water and a bit of time to let the bugs soften with the water, some light rubbing and the netting takes the bugs right off.
