quick question
 

there is alot of speculation about the x5 getting the twin turbo engine but my question is if bmw tought about putting this engine in the x5,why didnt they just put it from its launched? because from what i remember the x5 was launched in november and the 335i coupe with the twin turbo was ready for sale in september so that means that the twin turbo engine was ready right? so why didnt they just put it in the x5 from the beggining?

I don't know, but I can guess that they wanted a sucessful launch in one model first, then spread to other models, as opposed to lauching all at once. Also helps if there are any problems. Just my guess :thumbup:

I'm hearing the word "Supply" a lot these days regarding this engine. I think the take rate was so great in their bread and butter 3-series they simply couldn't make enough to satisfy another high volume vehicle.

Could you imagine how many twin turbo X5's would be ordered in the first 6 months????

I'm hoping for the TTV8 :thumbup: in 2010!
