that sucks...I have a very slow leak in one tire, the dealer said they dont repair tires and sent me to another shop.

I had a nail in my rear tire last week (315/35/20). I had to wait 3 1/2 hours for a replacement tire here in Ontario. I guess I was lucky. I hope everything goes well. Did you damage the rim? I'd go after the city/town for that, they have insurance.

Run flats are the only tire choice. If your car is leased you must return it with run flats.
That said i agree that the availability of these tires especially in rural areas is not good. Before I ordered my X5 I checked a few local tire dealers to ensure I could get a quick replacement. Having a spare was also important to me.
I wonder if you could easily convert the storage area into a space for the spare like the US cars have.

We get the spare wheel in Australia (if no 3rd row of course).. or should I say we better get one (car has not arrived as yet !!!)

I don't think I damaged the rim, but I possibly would have if I drove on it (oh, the irony). It happened on an "unassumed" road, exiting a shopping mall, so I am likely SOL unless I can get the mall to pay.

i will check my local tire depot to see if they have anything. It might be good to at least keep one in my garage if it doesn't fit in the car. With no spare, I guess there is no jack too!

Private property...good luck. I don't think you have any recourse. I bought an airman pump that fills the hole with gel incase of emergency. Even with the runflats it gives me a bit of extra security. $49.00 at Crappy Tire. Although in your situation it would not help. Check Newmarket Tire they are pretty good with Bimmers.
