Need PS or advice on rims for new x5

OK so I just bought my 4.8 x5 loaded (like 74 g's or something)

I dont want to mod the hell out of it, or pimp it out and sink another 70 grand into it. The only thing I am gonna do is a limo tint, custom plates and a want to do some SICK RIMS.

I was thinking HRE or ACS. I want them the be black since my car is jet black. Any advice or pics? Thanks.

Don't know about the SICK aspect of rims - I'm just a Midwestern Boy - But I can tell you we've got a good mix of folks who can help you with rims. Just stick around a few days and you'll be hooked.

Also, tell us about you ride - what options did you get? Many of us are coming up on ordering our new E70 X5 and we want to know how you like some of the lesser known features: Heads-Up Display; Active Vented Seats, etc...

Meanwhile, while you're waiting on rim recommendations: :xoutpost:!

DPE's are some of the nicest looking high end wheels you can get. They offer many styles that would look great and they are a high quality wheel.

Does this thrill you? ;)

those are some hot wheels

yeah, on a Ferrari...not a X5 :)

To be honest, I dont even like em on a ferrari. I just dont like the rims. I am HRE.

Wagner 06-15-2007 08:01 AM

Well, looks like you need to visit some rims shops to find what meets your taste

X5ster 06-16-2007 12:43 AM

dont they look similar to the HRE's?

I prefer graphite or charcoal powdercoat as against black. That will balance it and make it look tasteful insted of having pure black which will be too much black. In a pure black wheel on a black car, the wheel details /design do not stand out. See botom pic.

Here is HRE in graphite/charcoal
