September Production Changes
 

Dealers in the UK will be finding out what the specification changes are for Septmeber (week 36) production this Tuesday. No idea if this is the same in other parts of the world.

Do you mean changes can be made after Tuesday for September delivered X5's or will the changes only be available on orders made after September.

Yes changes can still be made after Tuesday. Every year BMW change the specification of models built from September onwards (new model year), there may be a slightly different spec and there will almsot certainly be a slightly higher price! It's for all models not just the X5.

It won't affect your order at all as it's only for cars built from week 36 onwards.

...not all good news, assuming a 6-8weeks from build to delivery, l will miss out on the new model by the 2 months! I'll call my dealer next week to see if I can delay build as my build date/spec has not been fixed yet.

I suspect changes will be minor excpet for the possibility that the 3.0d will re-tuned for the UK to pass the 225g/km emissions test.

I have placed my order today and I am waiting for the sale-man to print out my final order to sign it. Should i wait until next week? or until sep. then place my order??

There will be minor changes.. if you want auto tailgate then wait. Other than that I would presume little change.. maybe a better backup camera that should be retrofitted to existing models, depends if they take on board the criticisms... if in doubt wait as it is just around the corner and you'll have an 8 week wait anyway....:thumbup:
