Try some experiments with songs encoded at a lower bit rate and see if that is the problem or not.

Nope. The bulk of my songs are at 128K; a few at 256K. Nothing higher.

I feel sorry for your trouble with USB option but this makes me feel a bit better about my decision to not take 6FL. Playing iPod through AUX sounds great (thanks to a cheep Belkin cable) but you don't see what is playing and you have to fiddle with iPod every time you turn off the engine. That is the only option I am sorry I didn't get, providing it works.

With 6FL you can still play through the AUX right ? Best of both worlds ?

I'm sure they will solve this with an update...I really wish I had this option.

Unfortunatley the bonehead dealer told me it could be added later, which obviously is BS.

Make sure you have the latest firmware on your Ipod...maybe thats the problem. It appears alot of people dont have this issue w/ the 6FL.

I have the latest iPod software (1.2.1). I'm going to try restoring my iPod anyway to see if that helps.

Tried it. No dice. Behaves the same.

Oh well, at some point they'll fix it. Really my only complaint. Great truck otherwise.
