I Drive controller - Menu / Voice button
 

Does anyone have the center MENU button under the i-drive controller with a split menu/voice activation button?. I have seen this in photos and parts catalogues... it would seem to be quite handy for the front passenger should they need to "do the talking !"... I don't have my car as yet but presume I'll get just the large MENU button rather than the 2 function one. Anyone have this in their car ?

Do you mean the idrive knob (the actual knob)? I have never seen anything else but the standard single knob.

It would be a great idea to let the passenger do the talking, because she (X5) doesnt understand a word I say. I gave up on voice commands, the idrive is so simple I stick with that.

Sorry I've corrected my post I meant the button under the controller marked MENU.

In the original marketing photos the voice control activation button was split on the menu button but after release it is now on the steering wheel as per most BMW's.
