The roof racks are standard Thule racks. They seem to work really well and are much cheaper than the BMW ones.

Are those 19" wheels? Does anybody know if I can run 19" tires on snow and can you install snow cables?

Thanks

Yes they are 19' wheels but I'm not sure if you can put chains on them.

From what I can see looks like dealers in Australia are adding rear mudflaps for free ( I am assuming people haven't been ordering them specifically !)... means my rears that I have bought will become a spare and I'll fit the fronts when I get the car (fronts are easier to install than the rears so that is good!!).. Will have to see when I get the car I suppose !!

Rear mudflaps should be standard, it's law here in NSW for all cars.

I'm in NSW first I have heard of that...

Its actually true. I used to be an rta authorised inspector for over 10 years when I was in the trade, it was in the handbook. I'm almost certain that mudflaps are part of the criteria in order for an car to obtain an australian compliance plate..
It's the small things that count !!;)

I have the same ones but they whistle badly. Is this common?

adje2007 01-03-2009 10:50 PM

Mine don't whistle. Have you tried moving them forward or backwards a little bit. They certainly generate some wind noise with the sunroof open but suppose this is unavoidable.

I did, but I will try again. Thanks for responding!
