performance center delivery!what do you have to pay for
if you do the pcd, what do you have to pay for? flight there? hotel? thanks.
ps I tried search |
You have to provide your own transportation to a local airport or train station. They will have one of the Marriott bell boys use one of the dedicated 5-series (touring) cars to pick you up and drive you to the hotel.
From the moment you see the hotel bell boy, you only pay for tips. BMW covers transportation, food and lodging. Oh, you probably have to pay for your pay-per-view movies :) It's worth the price of admission!!! |
so you just pay to get there?
they pic you up bring you to hotel and wala? how long is the delivery? one day/night? |

In any case... The delivery takes one day. You get one night free at the Marriotte, including meals. You get picked up from the airport by a 5er E60 wagon. You get picked up the next morning at 7:45AM sharp by a small bus that takes you to the PC - you start your day with a track day...you get to Drive ///M cars and have a blast...you can even go on the X5 course...where they show you what the X5 can do.... You then pick up your car - I am told somewhere between 3:00 -4:30 PM. at this point you can do anything you want.... Hope this helps.... |

Here are posts on PCD http://www.xoutpost.com/x3-e83-forum/...up-beware.html http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...ce-center.html |
All of the below is accurate, PLUS:
- You get several hours of slinging an X5 around a track following your instructor to really understand its capabilities and the point at which the tires break free. Knowing that you can make a massive correction at 60MPH without flipping the X is a pretty good feeling. We actually pushed so hard into corners that we were sliding a bit on dry pavement. Big confidence building experience. - Right before you drive your X out of its private berth, you are given a 30 minute tour of the car, its functions and the documentation. It's a neat presentation. Then you gently drive your baby home :) Quote:

///M cars are usually not available to people taking PCD although I guess you can try to talk your instructor into it. |
