2008 E70 Options - When Will We Get 'Em?
 

Why are we so late getting the upcoming options for MY2008? Who usually gets them for us for the new model years??? :dunno:

:dunno: I saw on Bimmerfest the "sheet" for the '08 3-Series and '08 X3. BTW the X3 gets ambient lighting in the prem pack (like the X5) and a new appearance package thing.

what's ambient lighting ? Is that the door-handle lights outside ? And is that only available on the X5 if you have the premium package ? I get really confused about the prem package being required - my salesperson said it was, but on the bmwusa.com configurator, it is unavailable given my [standard] choices.

on the X5, ambient lighting, which is lights in the door bins, ect, and the bright white LEDs on the exterior door handles are included in the premium pack.
For 2008 the X3 is getting more or less the same thing included in the premium package. It was previously not availible at all.

I'm not sure when the 08's will be offered, but there's still a shortage of these cars, my 07 is rolling off the assembly line today. We thought of waiting, but as we are discussing, nobody could tell us when we could order one.
