Brightness of Climate Control

There was mention of a way of dimming the climate control display brightness.. there is no setting in i-drive , only for the screen. Anyone know of a way to dim this a little... it's a tad bright at night ...

Thanks

Try page 99 of your manual http://www.xoutpost.com/pdf/e70/2007%20X5%20(E70).pdf

Thanks.. The Instrument lighting option varies all lighting I am happy with the level of my instrument lighting .. the climate control is still a little bright (even during the day).. guess there is no way to independently vary the lighting...

You must mean the navigation display correct?? The climate control buttons are not lit during the day because the lights are off.

I agree, it would be nice if you could dim that separately from the instrument panel.

Hi, I also had this problem, the car went back to the dealer and they got it to work with the dimmer for the cluster, it does dim now but it is out of phase (brightness level) with the brightness of the cluster. So for it to be at a comfortable brightness level for night driving the instrument cluster has to be at its dullest setting.
