That is the rendition that Car and Driver had in this month's issue when they were talking about upcoming vehicles. I like it!

Looks a lot like a Chrysler Pacifica with kidney grills. :dunno:

Looks like the Volvo XC90.

Wagner 07-20-2005 08:42 AM

I like that look more then the others shown. I just hope they keep the X5 with an agressive look and not a goofy, trying to look like a pumped up sedan look.

Kewl X5 07-20-2005 11:34 AM

You better STOP driving your X5 so you can keep it until 2015! :D

I will if that's my option :p

Noticed the side on the X5. It lost the aggresive sheetmetal look along the front and back door. That's why it looks like a volvo. The SAV look a little bit longer which make it looks odd. May be they have third row of seats or more cargo space in mind. Existing X5 still has that solid, beefy, aggresive look to me than this one.

:iagree: 100%

Not liking the front bumper or the taillights... It could be worse, I guess.

X5Sport 07-20-2005 12:44 PM

Oh dear.

I'l keep my '05 X5 for a while longer then.

rangerfan 07-20-2005 02:43 PM

I like the rims.

I wonder if that is really the 07 X. Is there room for a 3rd row of seats in the back of the vehicle pictured? I don't think so.

ktulu 07-20-2005 03:17 PM

This is a photo chopped piece of crap. It looks like a X3 and e60 spliced then butchered.

I tend not to believe any of these early pics unless it comes from a reliable source. The Brenda Priddy ones are more reliable.

onetu3 07-20-2005 03:20 PM

looks "GAY."

I don't like it. I guess I won't be getting another X5 if it is going to look like this.

Phester 07-20-2005 06:41 PM

That's an X3 with the lights of a 5 series E60. With bottom painted bumpers like a 4.6 or 4.8 X5.

Not even a good artists interpretation. Weird. You see computer generated spy shots that have more creativity than that.

weak

...and the side vents off a Z8. I prefer artist impressions that are impressions not frankenstein disasters!

Though I am not arguing that this COULD be a photochop (and it probably is), would you not agree that Car and Driver is a reliable source? :dunno:

Honestly? No...

I guess either way it really doesn't matter because it is an impression which really doesn't mean much...now if they said that this was a spy shot then we would have to worry. Impressions are like @$$holes...:)

I think it looks good, just not for a BMW...and definitely not for the replacement to the e53.

03Topazbluex5 07-21-2005 12:04 PM

How about we wait and see what it'll look like before we all start jumping to conclusions!!! I was scared shitless that they would ruin the e36 with the e46, which they didn't, then i thought they'd Bangle the e90 but i love it. And they also refreshed the whole lineup which is starting to look a whole lot better than what Bangle had initially drawn up! Lets give our ol' german buddies a chance and hope that our prayers will be answered! Make it faster, better and badder!!!! :D

LeMansX5 07-21-2005 03:52 PM

This is a old photochop shot. I saw it last year on e60.net. This is slightly different from Car and Driver shot. I don't think the final product is close to this one or the one in car and driver.

Not sure what this POS is supposed to be. Maybe a long wheel base Mini-van.
