Why aluminum pedals? Because they look 10x better than the hideus OEM stainless steel pedals. The name is also a joke since it is only a ruber/plastic piece with a touch of steel as an accent. I originally purchased both, and eventually returned the stainless steel to the dealer.

Like some people before me, I also installed the wood gear selector. I personally like it better than the brushed aluminum, but that is highly personal. May I ask how you take the old one out? I'm planning on installing the same shifter wood trim on my 2008 X5 4.8i
