August 2007 X Series Sales Report

August (combined) sales of the BMW X3 and X5 Series increased 6.9% when compared to August, 2006 with a sales total of 5,737 units compared to the 5,368 sold last year. Note that sales of the X3 were up 35.3% while sales of the X5 were down 15.3%. Combined YTD sales of the X Series were also up 6.7% when compared to the first 8 months of 2006.
For those of you who are interested Mercedes-Benz sold 6,782 trucks this month thanks to the addition of the R Class and GL Class. For the first 8 months of 2007 sales of MB trucks are up 12.5% when compared to the same period of 2006. Of the 46,586 MB trucks sold thru August, 2006, 53.4% were the relatively new R Class and GL Class. Please note that I report only United States sales data. i find it quite suprising, that BMW sell almost as much 3.0 as 4.8
