You guys are right. The salesman emailed me and informed me they are OEM. But I don't get it. They want to charge full price for the aftermarket rims and not give the buyer anything for the stock rims and tires??

What idiot would buy it that way instead of buying one with stock rims and tires, buy the black ones and sell the stock rims with tires for $2,000 - $3,000??

This is the reason that I do not trust BMW...

That's why they are often referred to as "Stealers". Our local BMW
stlr has 20+ used Xs on his lot, but if you walked in and wanted a set
of 20" 87s, they will quote list price, unless you are the GM's brother
in law; otoh, some BMW Vendors here can be quite competitive. The
fact remains that eye candy parts like wheels are huge fookin gross
margin profit items for dlrs and most think their crap is the best.

It's not a case of "trusting" BMW, it's the commonplace response by
most dlrs that the customer is "high end", big bucks, is sucked in by
the charm of the joint, and is really not looking to dicker/negotiate.

Back at the ranch, our local stlr has 5 new E70s and they are trying
to get near MSRP, as they winked at me and said they were very "hot"
and had the latest stuff on them, eg 3rd row seat, etc, ...

I pointed our my E53, with 19" 132s and the guy said it's in very good
shape for an '05, ; mine is an '01 and obviously an '01. When he
saw the 5 spd he almost went white and suggested it would bring 30%
less than wholesale. I said I was only tire kicking anyway and I wished
him well in not choking on his lot full of E53s and that half dozen E70s
collecting dust. This is HillbillyHeaven, not noveau-riche land.

Long story over, but you get my point; most dlrs, of any brand, are imo,
so fookin full of themselves and so little tuned into car talk/car sites/car nut
info, that they are absolfookinlutely clueless...

And, save me the retorts on how one's "SA" is a good freakin guy, .

NEway, back to perusing...

I think they look awesome, especially on a black X.

That's a Sweeeet Ride!!!! I wouldn't personally have gone with a black on black combo.... but that wheel\tire combo look menacing!

Thanks for posting the scans.

Hey Motordavid, I can only agree with you 100%. Gross profit, and below par knowledge of the product they are attemtping to sell. I handed by E53 in to the stealership, got below avarage $ for a '05 model in perfect condition, and then still had to explain to them how certain of the options worked.

On a brighter note, I have the ferric grey 215s and they are sweet. The balck is too dark for me, and if there is a scratch, I guess you'll be seeing it pretty quickly!
