Horribly slow IPOD menus
 

I have a full 30g Ipod and searching though all artists or songs is just not possible through idrive. It's too darn slow. It would take an hour to spin the wheel through all my songs. It lags terribly and doesn't increase scroll speeds as does the Ipod when you spin the wheel fast.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to search alphabetically? Is there an update from BMW that addresses such issues?

It drives me nuts that little things like this are overlooked in a $50k car.

2007 E70 3.0si, ipod kit from factory.

do you have the correct cable?

The dealer gave me the cable...a USB and AUX combo that males to the ipod. It seems correct, although the dealer was a little dumbfounded when I told him I needed the cable.

sounds like it...did it say 6FL on it?

Use the voice recognition - say "CD track XXX" and it jumps to that track. You can move from song number 1 to number 2000 in 1 second.

Doesn't say 6FL anywhere on it.

was it in a package labeled 6fl?

It was in a package with lots of numbers, but no 6FL at all.

Thanks for the link. It looks the same as my cable. Just found some old posts...looks like I just have to live with it and clean up my playlists and such like. Thanks for help.
