Wax does not seem to get the oxidation off, what is the next step?

Mine went away after a few days on it's own.... it's odd to say the least.

Nope, still there...cleaner/polish doesn't clear it up, a "detail" guy says he can get it off with fine compound and a buffer....hmmm....I don't want to let him chance it
Is it oxidation...acid rain ... or what?
