E70 3.0si: How to remove plastic trim around tips to install 4.8 tips?
 
Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim around the 3.0si tips so that I can try to fit bigger tips...?

Do I just pull...I did not want to break anything so please let me know....

Hey Dencoop, did you get the clamp install 4.8 tips from Ebay as mentioned from the other post? Let me know if it works, I want to get the same one. Sorry I don't know how to remove that plastic thing.

Yes, i got the look alike tips from eBay...for the money they look very good in real life....although the OEM E70 4.8i tips still look better.....

I want to install them now...But dont know how to remove the plastic trim...if anyone knows please let me know...

I just tried removing the plastic trim on my E53 and it just pops out. There are plastic latches around that trim and I pushed it from the inside. I was able to pop it back in pretty easy. I know it's a different model but hope it helps.

Just pull them towards you with a bit of strength and they pop straight out.
