X5 E70 Steering Column Memory

The key memory function of the steering column on my E70 X5 often fails to operate. All the other key memory functions are 100%.
The seat button memory is always 100% for everything including the steering column.
UK Dealer says thet as it's a new model, I must expect delays in solving this problem!
Anyone out there with a better idea than simply waiting?

You can try a search, this has been discussed before .. try calibrating all way up and down and in and out then set position and memorise... otherwise there is supposed to be a software update on the way...

Gratefull Thanks. I'll try motoring the column around, and then resetting
Odd isn't it that the Dealer doesn't know this?

Most dealers are clueless.. they sell cars...
