Saddle Brown interior now available for 2008 !!!
 

Just received confirmation from my sales guy that Saddle Brown (LUD3) is now an available interior leather color option for 2008 X5's (at least the 4.8, not sure about the 3.0).

I found this out when I was going to try and "special order" it. He said, it's not a special order now, but an available color option.

That is true. My dealer also confirmed that comfort seats w/lumbar support are part of sports package like the E60.

I just went to the BMW payment estimator page step 2 and it showes

08 x5 3.0si @ 46675.00

08 x5 4.8i @ 55275.00

If they are taking 07 base prices + 775 delivery the pricing has not changed. Or it could be going up 775.00. What are the options?

my guess would be that Sunroof will be included in base car.
Although I am guessing that price of the car may reflect that.
I wonder if Comfort access be now part of Premium package, at least thats where speculation is.

Greg, since you have all this info, do you know if sunroof is even an option?
I placed an order for a car with Prem package hoping it would have the pano roof, I dont want to get screwed and get the car without sunroof at all.
Do you know if anything else in options got changed up? Ipod adapter as an option or possibly part of base car as Audi did on Q7?

We saw an X5 with this interior at the local E70 launch here in Stuttgart. It is definitely striking, but it's also definitely more orange than brown. I'm still thrilled with the tobacco we chose...it's gorgeous!

Still, I'm glad they are offering more options. I wonder if this means they'll offer new exterior colors as well?

Here's the deal, I have a couple of printouts of "actual" 2008 4.8i orders from a local dealer. It shows the pano roof as no longer being a part of ZPP, but it also shows it as a "separate" option in the option list. Here's the kicker, since prices are not yet listed, we don't know if it is a "no cost" option or not, and we won't know until 2008 pricing is released. My speculation is that it is a no-cost standard feature now.

iPod adapter remains unchanged as a $400 option as far as I can tell.

Hopefully, between LemansX5 and myself, we will have more information by the end of today :).

Now that Nav is standard on the 4.8 at least, I'm really interested in what they are going to charge for the Technology package now, $700-$1000? We shall see.

If this is all you get in the premium package, they better have dropped the 4k price of the package significantly. I know prices aren't released yet, but for 4k, I wouldn't have hesitated a millisecond if comfort access [like in canada] & pano roof were in this package... but neither are. It's actually worse. Hopefully the price is dropped (the only thing I really like from here is the ambient lighting, and I don't think that can be ordered separately.)

EDIT>> One more thing, it would be great if these updates were specified as 3.0/4.8 only or both. Thanks for all the new info so far.

Keep in mind that the order spec shown is for a 4.8 and not a 3.0, it may be different. No, ambient lighting cannot be ordered separately. I hope the price has dropped as well.

Lemon will be available as exterior colour for the first time...:rofl:
