That does sound cool - think of all these electronics in this vehicle...wow!

i haven't tried it, so don't want to comment... but what is the real purpose of the Auto-H feature? don't most people like the ability to let off the brake and travel very slowly without actually pushing the gas?? where do you find auto-h most useful? perhaps when pointing down a hill and at a stop? i know the car already prevents you from rolling 'backwards' when facing up a hill at a stop....

I do not think this feature is on the 07. I know on a hill it automatically holds when you take your foot off the brake (no button pushing needed), but on level ground I do not think there is any such option. Even if it was, I would think it would be dangerous to have since your foot my graze the gas pedal and you might hit the car in front of you. No chance of that when it's resting on the brake pedal.

mine will be delivered on tuesday. I will ask the sales guy if it has the auto hold. I paid lots of money for all these packages so it better be there. We get dinged with pricing in Canada. :confused:

Well, it still has not been published but some others were recommending putting your car details in at TrueDelta.com to get Invoice prices.
I looked at that and came up with the following details for an X5 4.8i. So, based on what TrueDelta shows, it looks like Invoice is generally around 91% of MSRP. I obviously have no idea if their numbers are correct but they seem like they probably are.

You forgot the biggest chunk of change... Invoice on base vehicle is only 8% discount for 92% of MSRP (thats just over $500 miscalculation for you)
Invoice on options is usually about 9% less then MSRP

I was showing the actual numbers derived from TrueDelta so there was no miscalculation. The factor was calculated. So the Invoice, according to them, is 91-92% of MSRP... And you're right, it does show 92% for base vehicle...

TrueDelta calculation is right, your quote is not.
on a 54,000 base price invoice is only 8% less and not 9% as you generally stated.
For people calculating manually, Base price is discounted only 8% on both 4.8 and 3.0 models, while options are about 9% on average.
the more options you take the closer you get to 9% discount, but base price is the largest chunk.
the only few options that are discounted even more are the options that are likely to be picked much less often by a consumer such as active steering and HUD.
