Please update us when the order is actually placed. Just curious if Saddle shows up on the dealer's ordering system as a normal selection (just like the other colors), or whether it's a "special" option like "Priority 1", etc.

Let me know what your production week is. I have been trying to order for two weeks to no avail.

I was ready to finalise the order today with my dealer, but when he looked in the ordering system, he did not see Saddle brown anywhere as an option. We were not sure how to process it as priority one option ether.

Does anyone have any idea on what to do?
I cant wait much longer, need an SUV asap.

My dealer didn't find it on the list either. I'm beginning to think that the availability of Saddle Brown was a "bug" in the ordering system and it has since been corrected. I hope that I'm wrong.

It seems like any board member that confirms the availability of Saddle Brown for US orders suddenly disappears and is not heard from again.....it's a conspiracy.

This would be the last straw on things I am adjusting to...
Rates not favorable, discount is decent but not awsome.
I am so against Q7, but as I get updates, I am thinking that it might be best to save some decent $,$$$ and go with equivalently packaged Q7 and thats considering I am going from BMW to BMW...
Over period of 36 month lease, savings could add up to over $2.5K and thats inlcuding Audi care in Q7 price.

Oh and Auto tailgate available at no additional charge.

I never said that I am in love with Q7, to me its a worthy alternative.
Give me saddle brown and I will not take my deposit back, the major problem is that I have a 2 month old child and a E46 with performance package at this time, I cant wait much longer. I drive with stroller in front seat.

I love the saddle brown but I don't like the way they leave that plastic wrap around the back of the front seats in the dash colour :(

sorry for not replying on board since i have been getting individual personnel emails from other wondering about this saddle color... dealer was wrong but working on it if he can still get it

Saddle is available in Canada though, correct?

I know someone did get saddle brown in US on a 2007 X5, yes 2007 and it was special order.

I remember, I saw a post on that forum, anyone know what he had done to get it? how does a dealer place an order for saddle brown?

And he did not pay anything extra. Just tell the dealer to use code LUD3 for interior leather color. See if he can do that. Persistence works. :thumbup:

The manager at the dealership showed me the software where he would select an option, there were none to select anything other then the ones available. I did give him the code but not sure if he was able to plug it in.
In the end, sometime today or tomorrow the order will be placed and I promised the manager a bottle of Remi if he gets me saddle instead of an ok choice of Tobacco.

Here is the post from someone in LA who was able to get Saddle. Looks like he had to work at it.

Saturday I placed my order and I asked my sales rep to look into it - we didn't really work at it, but it came back as not possible without some "individual" type order.

In any case, I don't think it as easy as simply asking for LUD3.

I ordered mine last week, this week, NO saddle interior!! "it was around for a few months at the end of last summer but not going forward in '08" another nice one BMW:thumbdown :thumbdown
