anyone knows how to deactivate the traction locks on the e70?

What do you mean 'traction lock'?

I think he wants to try to shake that babe off the hood of his X...

If you mean turning of X-Drive, that isn't possible.

You may try to press the button named DTC as long as you get the yellow warning it is off now in the display . 3-5 secs should be enough. But don´t press longer than 10 seconds (otherwise self destruction is started :nanana: ), I dunno why but they write it in the manual (which is worth reading it folks...)

The x Drive is still active, but the electronic is not taking your power when the wheels go through or the car gets out of control, so please be carefull. But when there is lots of empty space and snow (or sand) you will enjoy it slidering around...

Basically, DTC "turns off" the traction control, meaning that your wheels can spin if needed, but the stability control is still activated. Pushing and holding the DTC button turns off traction and stability control.

As long as you remember all 4 wheels are still getting power.

:iagree:. xDrive can't be shut off though, so xDrive will still do its part to help sort out tricky situations. Not necessarily a bad thing IMO.
