Also done!

you are absolutely right!! the local dealers here have plenty of 07s left... they rather sell you one of those than take an order on a new build. They also probably get some incentive to clear out the inventory..

it makes lots of sense to hold off on updating the site.. many buyers are walk-ins and not really "research analysts" like us!! The website steers them into local dealer locations "arming" them with 07 pricing info...

it's the perfect setup!!

... and why are the accessories not available on their website yet? Slackers!

Off topic somewhat but I cannot believe how poor the BMW website is in general....they are awful at keeping it up to date and it is incredibly slow and not very intuitive to use.

For a compmany that projects a high tech image it amazes me that BMW dont recognise this. Gor many potential buyers the website will be the first time people experience the BMW brand.

^ same exact response I got, by the way. I'm sure they're getting inquiries about it and have the generic response ready for a copy/paste. I did also ask why accessories have not been available in build-your-own and they didn't bother typing a response up for that.

If they are so good, why haven't they added the accessories to the '07 X5 build-you-own on BMWUSA? To this day it still says something like "Exciting X5 accessories coming soon".

As far as BMW being advanced technologically, if it pertains to something mechanical (ie engines, transmissions, etc) they are advanced. However, when it comes to electronics, they like to offer advanced options, but have yet to figure out how to make them work reliably.

Also having issues with the latest Opera web browser. Can't even get the Vehicles drop-down to work. Haven't seen such issues on any other sites I can recollect right now. Compatibility testing anyone?
