Finally Arrived !
 

Well after placing our order back in August we finally picked it up>

Some first impressions:

- Overall very pleased, almost got the RR sport sc but the technology, comfort and feel of the X just blows it away.
- Delivery was a breeze.
- Tons of electronics- need some time to figure everything out
- Love the V8 growl
- Brake dust is unreal - after 30 miles the wheels are filthy
- Sport package is great, love the steering wheel and seats
- Wish I opted for the 20"s, strictly aesthetics
- Backup camera is OK, not super clear though
- Bluetooth and ipod integration works great.
- Really like the Alpine White.
- Glad I didnt get the runnung boards, dont think they look as good on the white as some of the other colors.

nice ride! I've got the same color, but an 07, probably 3-4 weeks older than yours.. The 20's TOTALLY sets off the truck. The backup camera, as well as the screen res in general blows compared to Lexus. The weird thing is I get more compliments on the running boards than anything else.

looks good, I ordered white as well.
I like the running boards but didn't get them because it seems to make the car harder to get in/out of.

The X5 isn't so high up that you really need a step to get in/out. Also, was a little concerned about how they wear. We'll see, I can always get them later if I change my mind.

Your wheels look great. I see you didnt get the sport package, did you purchase your wheels from the dealer of aftermarket?

You might want to consider the 20" flares, they would look great with those momster rear tires.

I've just ordered same wheels (style 211) for winter tyres. Well, not dissapointed they looks very hot!!!

I am not sure how hands on you are, but swapping out the pads for a pair of Axxis Deluxe (or Deluxe Plus) pads would significantly cut down on the dusting you are seeing.

no flares on sport pack unless you buy 20"

I will do a pad swap as I did on the E53. As of date, I still couldnt find a listing. I had good success with Hawk pads but I'll check out Axxis.

Congats.. I get mine next week. Same color, but tobacco interior.

Check out Zheckhausen, give them a call and they'll recommend an ideal set up, Dave there is a great reference to talk to.

I dont have the flares on yet - will take a pic as soon as I install them.

You can do a search under Flare and see what they look like though.

I kinda like the agressive look from behind w/o the flares, but cleaning up the debris is getting old.

If anyones interested, according to Dave, the aftermarket world has not yet come out with front pads for the E70, however, there are rear pads available, but only for the 4.8i.

you show your sav with19 in wheels. then you show the truck with 20in wheels. if so where did you get the 20in wheels. how can i get a set.
