Picking up an 2008 4.8 today...
 

I'm picking up my (actually the wife's) 2008 4.8 today! I think I'm more excited then her. This will be our 1st BMW four wheeler.

It's Space Gray/Black Perforated Nevada/Dark Burl Walnut. All options except HD radio & Comfort Access.

1st thing I need to do is search here more to find out which 18" replica wheels to get for snows. I'm thinking run-flat Blizzak's for the tires.

Should be able to post pics tonight. Man, a new X5 AND Macintosh Leopard on the same day, that's livin'. ;)

Does it have both Premium Sound AND Rear Entertainment? If so can you try to see if the rear screen will show DVD movies that are played on the front DVD changer? A couple of people have confirmed that DVD movies are displayed on the front iDrive screen, but they did not have the Rear Entertainment Package....so we don't know if the rear screen will also show the movie.

wth is a mac leopard?

Macintosh computer's new operating system... comes out today.

Do you know if there going to bump the specs on the macbook? There were rumors, but never confirmed. There were even rumors of a 13" or smaller mac book pro.

I'm not sure of the answer yet, but so far I haven't been able to show the video from the DVD changer on the rear entertainment screen, just on the iDrive display. Damn, going to have to read the damn manual I guess.

Was a cloudy day & got home late so I just took a few quickie pics. If the sun comes out again I'll get some interior shots.

Yes, have the comfort seats. They seem good, but I'm still learning to adjustments & only drove it about 60 miles so far.

please let us know about the headrests on the comfort seats, which are rumored to have changed. pics please.

I think most are wondering do your headrests (with the comfort seats) have that little pillow on them? The front two anyways.

I never heard that the headrests were goign to be different, I shure hope not. please let us see a pic?

On the old headrests only the lower section (bottom 2/3's) would tilt/bend forward as additional neck support, but on the new ones the entire headrest face bends forward.
