upgrade to 27.1 and iphone issue
 

Just had my X5 come back from 27.1 upgrade and when I pair with IPHONE it does not display names with the phone numbers as I had before. All my nav addreses have gone (nt such an issue) but phone names is. Tried repairing the phone and still no luck.

My X5 has been in 7 times for an oil leak which started at 2000km it now has 3500km. I am so angry. I am getting a new 3.0sd as soon as one is allocated to the dealer. Probably delivery will be feb.

Anyone have the same issue with phone and new upgrade?

My iphone has not been upgraded to 1.1.1 as it is an unlocked phone. Is yours also the original iphone software. Is it the car or phone? Please update if you hear anything. I have asked the dealer to contact BMW south africa, only problem iphones are not here yet so I am not sure what type of answer I will get. My treo works fine.

ps do your contacts also show as numbers instead of names and when someone calls there is just numbers and the phone no coming up.

yes, my iphone is an unlocked 1.0.2.... and it was working with the previous car's soft version

i think that's the problem.

1.02 and BMW updates ae the issue. Update the phone to 1.1.1

Unlocked Iphones that are upgraded to a new software will lock your phone again or "might" turn your phone into a very expensive paper weight. Just a word of caution.

at this stage I am waiting for the new upgrade fix for the 1.1.1 iphone software. Wish BMW could fix my oil leak. Can you imagine the frustration it still leaks after seven attempts. Its a disgrace.
