Lt Glenn: very nice. I noticed the paramedic vehicle next to your X5. Wondering if you plan to install any emergency lights in the X5? I'm an EMT and have undercover strobes throughout my 2002 X5 and looking to do something for my new 2008. Do you have any plans or thoughts? i'm in Boston... and may use a guy in CT or this area, unsure yet. thanks.

p.s. did you get auto tailgate and if so, how is it?

No auto tailgate... Mine was one of the first 2008's to go into production in early October and the tailgate was not available until November production. I did'nt want to wait. I will not install any E-lighting in the BMW. I do not volunteer.

Congrats!!! Why didn't you choose tabacco/black interior (saddle brown is the same as tabocco isn't it?) I know options in german, in English so so :))

The saddle brow is alot lighter than the tobacco.. In the US, the tobacco came with tobacco seats and door panel inserts and everything else black upto the 2007 MY. In 2008 MY it changed to all tobacco. This was a suprise to myself and the dealer. I still like the color combo though.
