Canadian software upgrade??
 

Just noticed a thread on the newest firmware for the X5, 27.2 now starting to trickle in to various dealerships in the U.S. Ive also read 27.1 has landed in England at least as well......

Any word from CANADIAN X5 owners/dealers regarding software upgrades?? 27.1 or 27.2 ?

My ipod 6FL hasnt worked properly since purchase, and Id love the PDC with rear view camera upgrade....

Yes, v27.1 is available in Canada. I had mine done last week. I now have the split screen back-up camera/PDC screen. Also, the vehicle seems a little more peppy in regular drive mode and the transmission seems smoother. Could be it is re-learning my driving pattern. Overall it is worth it.:thumbup:

Can you tell me what city you are in, our even better, what dealer....my guys at BMWautohaus in Toronto tell me they havent gotten it yet.

How do you guys know the software version of your car?

Finally heard back from my dealer (after I informed them that Budds in Hamilton already had the 27.1 for at least a little while.....:rolleyes: )....Thx Denalio!

Apparently, they have the 27.2 now, so I am scheduled for this update and a few minor additional fixes in a few weeks time (when Im going to be away for a few days, anyways)....can't wait to finally have my Ipod and steering wheel working as they were designed to.....not to mention split rear-view and PDC screen!

hey can you just go in and get them to do the upgrade for you for free? ;)

Sure you can but you need to complain about something (steering wheel not coming into position, backup camera not turning on every time etc.) It worked for me at BMW Gallery in Calgary. I am going in for an upgrade in about two weeks.
