In production at last!
 

I have been waiting a year to order an X5 the way I wanted and now it is finally in production. Looking forward to getting it soon.

How did you get the Saddle Brown? The published documents do not list it as an option, as far as I can tell.

Just order option LUD3 -- it's in the system. That's what I was told when I was sitting down with my dealer to order my X5. I decided against Saddle Brown though as it did not go with my exterior color.

Your dealer has to go through the trouble of calling someone at BMWNA and order LUD3. That is all there is to it. No delay in production, no limited supply.

can you get saddle brown with ventilated seats?? can't they just poke holes in the leather? :)

No one can get ventilated saddle brown, not even overseas.

Nope, can't get saddle leather with perforated leather. That was what I wanted. Had to settle for black perforated leather.

HEHE, we may get ours on same truck, Mine went into paint on 31st and planned for completion on 5th as well... although mine will arrive into Brooklyn.. I was going to do performance center delivery, but seems like this may delay things and I cant wait too much.

Just found out that it went into production today and is going to be completed on the 7th. Not sure if that means totally completed or if it goes into paint...etc after that. Nonetheless...very exciting. Seems like X5 World members are hitting a hot streak all at the same time! ;)

Has your dealer told you when to expect delivery?

He didn't give me an actual date but he said it would only be a couple of weeks. Once the truck is done, shipping is fairly quick since it only has to come from SC!
