Ever noticed how the Brits always favour British cars; they especially like Land Rover products. But when you get them in North America they don't really work. They break down, rust and are generally unreliable, not to mention difficult to get repaired. The exceptions would appear to be British badged "foreign" cars.
I've owned British cars on both side of the Atlantic they seem fine over their but hopeless over here. Why do you think that is? A fiendish British plot to subvert the colonies? or do they just not use cars much over there as some would seem to argue here : )

H'mm so what are todays British cars not many I don't think.

LandRover, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Astons, TVR, Morgan, Lotus, Noble,

most are owned by non British Companies. So do we really have any British cars.

The BMW 3 Series out sells the Ford Mondeo (which is perceived as "British " by the British as most Fords sold here used to be made here) three to one. There is probably not a less patriotic car buying public which is why they all the manufacturers went bust.....and because the cars were generally rubbish.

If the Range Rover Sport's interior would not look like all plastic (designed in the 70's) I would have forgotten the reliability issues, expensive repair and the lack of acceleration and bought one.
But I had a look at it and bought the X5. :popcorn:

Totally Agree. RR Sport looks the dogs on the outside but thats where it ended for me
