Left hand acelerator
 
Hey,I am an amputee of the right leg. I have a left hand acelerator I would like to install it requires 4 sheet metal screws into the floor under the brake peddle of my E70 Will I hit anything important ? can I do it. Please help.

I had a friend in a similar situation, decided in the end it would be easier to have the other one removed too and hire in the services of a chauffeur.

Why don't you do it first and let me know how it works out. I do need to know if I can drill under the brake pedal

I wasn't being funny, that's what he said, I suggest you re-read my original post before going off on one!

My friend ended up with a solution which connected directly to the gas pedal with a horizontal bar between the two. I've seen simlar setups for learner driver cars but not specifically X5s.

From what you describe, it would be near impossible to drill directly below the brake pedal owing to access restrictions. In addition, the screw length is fairly critical in gaining an answer to your original question.
