BMW n00B - updated Pictures
 

As promised back in November below some pictures of my X5 which arrived last monday.

First impression is overwhelmingly positive.

+ Comfort seats are the best I've ever experienced
+ Engine is amazing
+ Overall build quality is excellent
+ Road handling is very good for such a huge car
+ I-Drive keeps my kid busy :)
+ Car just looks amazing and it attracts the necessary attention on the road
(of course not an important reason for buying a X5....;) )
+ USB connection works perfect, hooked up 160gb portable HDD and I have enough music on board to last me the next year or so)
+ LOVE the autohold function, I spend a good chunk of the day in traffic jams and this really is a great feature
+ Panoramic roof gives the car a light and airy feel despite the black leather and dark colored interior

a few things to moan about
- Suspension is a bit stiff, you can feel every bump in the road but guess that is the price to pay for the superior handling (and am sure the 20" Dunlop runflats also have something to do with this). Luckily it is not really uncomfortable, just need to get used it.
- Navigation screen is a bit of a joke, a $300 Garmin has better screen resolution and loads more options. Think BMW dropped the ball on this one

Bottomline : Absolutely love this car, it's the very best I've ever owned.
Just waiting for the Titanium grills now, ordered them on tuesday.

I notice your wheel arches are the sports flared arches - but i didn' t get a color coded option, just the black plastic, did you have to request this, or was it standard as part of the sports pack?
