can you tell me one thing... are the stock exhaust tips bolted on? can they be removed easily??

if you ever decide to do that find out what the exhaust pipe diameter is...

yes, the stock exhaust tips bolted on, you got to cut it to change new tips.

if they're bolted on why do you need to cut them in order to change them? not sure what you meant!

they must have a clamp or tightening screw...

last thing i want to do is cut anything....

I am scheduled to pick up my Monaco with Saddle on Friday...
I will drive by the dealership tomorrow, see if I can sneak some photos before they actually release the car to me....
They claim there is alot of software loading to do and want to take their time... Seems like service department is just slow :)

all these new 08s make me wanna contact my dealer again... :D

You need to ask your dealer to phone in [BMWNA is it?] after he places your order with a temporary interior color. He has to use LUD3 as the saddle brown code.

Is that how you did it, Billy? Please confirm.

yes, salesman got to call in bmw na to confirm he can order SB for X5 and then he got to email them w/ prod # & code LUD3 .

I met Osarda from Bimmerfrest a couple of weeks ago so that I could check SB out in person (he's the one who had been able to order the only 2007 US E70 that we know of in Saddle Brown). As I expected SB looked like a milder/mellower version of the Auburn in my 545.....it looked beautiful. The funny thing is that I hadn't realized the 3er convertible is also available in SB and I got to see a few of those at the BMW VDC Tour in Oxnard, CA the very next day. Easily, and I mean EASILY you've got the most beautiful interior color combo that exists on the X5. I don't know if Camel will be made available in the USA, but that is nice too, but still no where near as amazing as Saddle Brown. The only color I like better in BMW's current range is the Natural Brown that is an option on the 5 series. Space Gray is incredible too. Congrats!

It really is surprising that SB is a special order in the US.
