The MY05 Ody...ehhhh MY08 X5 , my story and my brother "the SICK maniac"

Bro,

Brings back good memories...

I wish you to take that story and magnify my wishes 10 fold..

Knowing you, you'll surely find something wrong, a minor rattle, and something that annoys you... but I know that what this car will deliver when you hit the pedal, when you take it into the turn w/o feeling any body roll, when you are cruising at 85 with ease, hit it, and next thing you know you are doing 105 and want more and more, when you hear the growl and it makes you high.. all those and much more will make you grin and forget the imperfections...

Finally, and I mean it FINALLY (what took you so long???!!!!) Without any further delay, a BIG WELCOME to xoutpost.com, bro!!

What kind of decease besides insomnia are you going to pick up this time?

Bro

p.s. Remember, once a bmw, always a bmw.

He had to do it.... He just had to :nanana:

To echo my bro's comment, and to bring back good memories (and YES, both of us get sick when we get a new car - that is true, all kidding aside), I took a morning off today to seal the deal... Once the papers were signed, my left eye started to twitch, and I barely made it back to the office...

I do promise, to the entire X5world community, to take this car apart as much as I can without breaking the warranty, to find all imperfections, and, most importantly, solutions for the later. For a proof of that, just venture over to the odyclub.com and search for all posts made by alexmish/alexmish1...all 4,300+ of them during 1.5 years of "active posting"...(and I wasn't just welcoming new members there :))

Let's put it this way: I wrote this checklist before the first Ody even hit dealers' lots ! (http://home.comcast.net/~2005odyfan/Checklist.html)

And if one day you open a newspaper (ok, who opens newspapers these days - let's say a news website) and find an article about 2 gray-looking BMW X5 drag-racing in a quiet NJ suburbia, you'll know immediately who those are

BTW, I've checked the order tracking website today like 5 times :wow:

:thumbdown Drag Racing, on public roads, let alone suburbia, is just stupid.

Hope the article is not in the obituary column...

Lighten up guys.... :) That meant to be a joke.

That online order tracking system is so slooooooooow and outdated !

So, being who I am (read above), I just called the BMW Hotline, and got the scheduled production for week 49. Also confirmed all options & colors - they matched my order !

Communicated that back to the dealer, he said they should have it ready for me around Dec 14th... Sounds bullish to me, but we'll see :)
